01POLITICAL COMMENTARY

Guns for Votes

PRIMER

On the 22nd of May 2019, Buhari issued an Executive Order to “Revoke and Banish all Firearms Certificates and Licenses Throughout the Country”. The order also banned the renewal of new gun licenses and the issuance of new ones. In other words, those who trusted the Federal Government of Nigeria and submitted themselves to the tedious process of securing a gun license not only lost their investment in personal security, but were made to look like fools. On the other hand, the people living within Nigeria (or able to invade Nigeria at will) who did not trust the federal government of Nigeria and who had acquired guns illegally were essentially allowed to keep their guns. The only person who can single-handedly correct this national disaster right now is Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.

PRIMER

Things were not going according to President Buratai’s plan. His presidency was shaping up in a way he never envisaged. When the man later got a confidential report that further destabilized him, he decided to do something Nigerians never expected of him. He was going to do all in his power to make Chief Kalu Okorocha his successor and the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Buratai thought this goal would be easy to achieve: after all, he was the Commander-in-Chief and he had his party’s full loyalty.

But he was totally wrong.

Through a providential incident, Buratai got to realize that Alhaji Tukur Mantu did not only have access to the contents of the confidential report, but was already planning to take over power from him. Alhaji Tukur was no ordinary contender: he was not only extremely rich and politically experienced, but had the backing of the Central Intelligence Agency, which was working on behalf of the Democratic administration of Mrs. Hilda R. Simpson to further an agenda that Nigerians had roundly rejected in the past. Buratai soon realized that, in taking on Alhaji Tukur, he had undone himself and made his country an adversary to the most powerful country on the globe (the USA) and the most sophisticated, most dangerous, and most pervasive intelligence agency in the world (the CIA).

Would Buratai survive this battle?

How about his plans for Chief Kalu Okorocha?

Will Alhaji Tukur Mantu become Nigeria’s next president?

Who will be sworn in as president of Nigeria on May 29, 2019?

A Good Guy with a Loaded Gun

PRIMER

A Good Guy with a Loaded Gun is the story of Michael Henshaw – the good guy with a loaded gun – who gets an opportunity to become a hero when he found himself at the scene of an attempted rape. Just by deciding to do something instead of looking the other way, Michael sets off a chain of events that would see him use the gun he had acquired from the rapist with deadly effect, eventually go to jail, escape a murder attempt on his life at the prison, get presidential pardon, but then act in the most unpredictable manner thereafter.

Convinced that he ought not to have been jailed in the first place for using an unlicensed gun to stop a crime, Michael attempts the impossible, impelled by faith and inspired by an acceptance of his destiny.
